Welcome to the Yorkshire Mouse online shop

highly decorative oak spinning chair by Colin 'Beaverman' Almack. Almack was one of Robert 'Mouseman' Thompson's craftsmen. He worked for Thompson during the 1940s and 1950s. He set up his own workshop in 1960 and adopted the beaver as his signature.

The chair is in very good condition with no damage. It is a wonderful dark honey colour with the signature beaver on one side. It has been beautifully made with a lunette and leafscroll carved back with a stunning Yorkshire rose carving as well. The seat is made from a particularly nice piece of character oak, almost like light burr, which makes it a bit more special. So much work has gone into this chair, it is a really lovely piece.
