A rare Colin 'Beaverman' Almack napkin set. It is in excellent condition with no damage. The signature beaver has been carved to the centre. There are 4 napkin rings that sit on top of the base. All hand carved, a lot of work has gone into this piece. The base measures 17.8 cm x 18 cm. These little napkin sets rarely come to the market, so are very highly sought after when they do.
Colin 'Beaverman' Almack was one of Robert 'Mouseman' Thompson's craftsmen. He worked for Thompson during the 1940s and 1950s. He set up his own workshop in 1960 in Thirsk and adopted the beaver as his signature.
