A large Horace 'Knightman' Knight coffee table, hand carved in the manner of Robert 'Mouseman' Thompson. It has been superbly carved and adzed all over, it's a really wonderful table, an awful lot of work has gone into making it and the detail is amazing. It is in very good condition with just a bit of wear from use - no damage. The length measures 107 cm, the width 51 cm, the height 53 cm, so it's quite a large table. It is a good colour and a wonderful design. It has been signed with the carved signature knight as seen in the pictures.
 
I have only seen one other Knightman table with panelled sides like this one. It sold in 2022 at a specialist auction and the hammer price was 700 pounds. With the auction house's 30% commission fees on top, that equates to over 900 pounds in total, so I think I've priced this one very well. The other table was from the estate of Horace Knight as unfortunately he died at the age of 88 in 2021.
 
Horace Knight was trained by Sid Pollard, who was one of Robert 'Mouseman' Thompson's craftsmen. Knight's pieces are made in the same manner as the Mouseman pieces, but are a fraction of the price. I also have 2 large Knightman chandeliers for sale - please see my other items.
