A really rare Robert 'Mouseman' Thompson book trough, made from burr oak with the signature mouse carved in high relief to the front. It is in excellent condition with no damage. As it is carved from burr oak, it obviously has natural splits, cracks etc in the wood, giving the piece lots of character. Please note that the cracks are not damage. The burr oak Mouseman pieces are very collectable and command higher prices as they are in such demand. I have only seen one other book trough carved from burr oak, they really are rare to the market.
