A rare pair of 1930s Robert 'Mouseman' Thompson dark oak candlesticks, hand carved with a signature mouse to each one. They are in good condition. One has some natural cracks and a small chip to the base, one of the cracks runs under the base, other than that, each candlestick just has wear commensurate with age and use. The wrought iron sconces are not original, but they are Mouseman sconces and have come off another pair of old Mouseman candlesticks. These old sconces are in themselves very hard to find. 1930s Mouseman candlesticks are rare to the market and are always highly sought after. These have been really well carved and have excellent patina and they are a beautiful dark oak colour.
