A rare vintage Nick 'Hedgehogman' ash / pin tray. Nick Hill was a Mouseman craftsman. After he left the workshop, he set up his own and adopted the hedgehog as his signature. The pin tray has been beautifully hand carved with the signature hedgehog on top. It has been tooled to the top. It is a beautiful dark honey colour and has a lovely pattern in the grain. It is in very good condition, on close inspection one small nick can be seen on one side, not really noticeable, but should be pointed out. It has not been used as an ashtray, it looks like it has just been a display piece. It measures 9.5 cm x 7.5 cm.
