A vintage Robert Mouseman Thompson bread / cheese board, hand carved from oak with the signature mouse on one edge. It is in excellent condition with no damage, no knife marks, or evidence that it has been used, it has probably just been a display piece. The signature mouse has been particularly well carved in high relief. It has a really lovely colour with an interesting pattern in the grain, giving the board a bit more character. It also has wonderful patina. It has been lightly adzed to the top of the board. A really nice earlier made Mouseman piece. It measures 30.5cm x 25cm, so a little bit smaller than the later boards which measure 30.5cm x 25.5cm.
