A really lovely vintage Robert 'Mouseman' Thompson fruit bowl, hand carved from oak with the signature mouse in the centre of the bowl. The diameter is 28 cm, so a bit smaller than the later bowls, which are 30.5 cm. It is so well made with a particularly well carved signature mouse.
 
It is in excellent condition with no damage, just a few faint stains to the inside of the bowl, otherwise perfect. The mouse has absolutely no damage or chips to the ears. The bowl has wonderful patina, is a really gorgeous golden oak colour, and has been beautifully tooled, especially to the interior. A really great Mouseman piece.
