A lovely large vintage Robert Mouseman Thompson lamp. Rarer than the smaller table lamps that come to the market. The base measures 41 cm, including the bulb holder 46.5 cm. Once a shade is fitted (not included) it is getting on for nearly 70 cm, so it really is quite a large lamp, especially compared to the Mouseman table lamps which stand at around 26 cm. The lamp has been hand carved and bears a particularly good signature mouse running up the stem. It has been beautifully made and is a really good colour. It is in full working order and has a brass bulb holder which holds a bayonet bulb (included) and brass shade holder, which unscrews so that a lampshade can be fitted and screwed securely into place. The condition is excellent with only a few small nicks and a bit of wear to the base, which can be seen on close inspection, not really noticeable to the eye - priced accordingly. Please see the zoomed in picture of the base above. Other than that, the lamp looks to be in excellent order and has been fully rewired ready for use. A great Mouseman piece.
