A lovely vintage Robert 'Mouseman' Thompson Yorkshire oak trinket box, hand carved with the signature mouse to the lid. It is a gorgeous dark honey colour, and it has not only been beautifully adzed to the top and sides, it has also been fully tooled to the interior, which is really nice to see as the later trinket boxes aren't hand carved inside, they are machine cut and left plain. It measures 18.8 cm x 11.2 cm x 8.2 cm, so a bit smaller than the later examples. It is in very good condition with no damage, just ever so slight wear to the base.
