A superb, vintage hand carved Wilf 'Squirrelman' Hutchinson coffee table with the signature squirrel to one leg. The table dates to the late 1950s / early 1960s. It is a beautiful colour with wonderful patina. It has also been beautifully tooled to the top, which really catches the light. It is in very good condition with just a bit of wear commensurate with age and use. A fabulous 'Squirrelman' coffee table. 
 
Wilf 'Squirrelman' Hutchinson was one of Robert 'Mouseman' Thompson's craftsmen up until the late 1950s when he set up his own workshop and adopted the squirrel as his signature. His early pieces are very highly sought after.
